Engineers’ specification and necessary diagrams are available if council approval is required.

The authentic African Cape Reed thatched tile is sourced from the world’s largest manufacturer of African thatch and is impregnated with Thatchbor ® which is a fire retardant fungicide and preservative to ensure safety and longevity.

We also offer Synthetic Thatch / Cape Reed combination tiles. Synthetic Thatch tiles offer a natural look achieved with synthetic materials and increase the longevity of the tile. Synthetic Thatch tiles require no maintenance and are not subject to mould, damage by UV degradation and are eco friendly. Purchase tiles separately to complete your own structure or to replace old thatch.
